Collecting Site(s):  Ramanessin Brook Collecting trip.    Monmouth County, NJ  Cretaceous marine fossil and shark tooth collecting in Monmouth County with experienced collectors.  Derek Yoost will be hosting as the resident pro.

Meeting Place for TRIP:  At front of trail near “Greenway” wooden sign in front of woods.

This is an Elementary School with an expanded front parking area.  You can park in this expanded front area adjacent to the road, closest / opposite side to the woods.  

 

Trip Notes: 

Derek “Google” Yoost will be hosting this trip and is a resident pro at identifying anything and everything you pick up in the stream.  Some Fossil Identification guides will be emailed to you ahead of time; and some hard copies may be available on the trip.

 

Wear:  Old clothes and sneakers or water socks / water shoes, CLOSED - toe

Safety Information: Stay away from the banks (collecting there is illegal), and be sure to bring sun screen, bug spray, lunch/snacks, water

Tools: WATER, LUNCH / SNACKS, SUNSCREEN, Shovel, Sieve(s), hand trowel, Ziploc Bags, backpack, towel, BUG SPRAY, SUNSCREEN, folding chair if you wish, light gloves if desired
