Variety of pegmatite minerals including Beryls, Tourmaline, Garnets, Quartz,
Feldspar, Mica, and others. Privately – owned property / Fee Dig site. $30 per
person to dig for the day, $40 if you bring + use power tools / Drills.

Meeting Place: 202 Turkey Hill Rd. Haddam, CT 06424. This is the
parking area for the site. This address can be used for GPS purposes.

Trip Notes: Dig times will be 9 am to 5 pm at latest. Please be on time for
the 8:40 meet-up. David mentioned that there is plenty of parking so no
need to concern with carpooling.

TRIPS ARE OPEN ONLY TO CURRENT PAID MEMBERS. IF YOUR MEMBERSHIP HAS LAPSED, YOU MUST PAY YOUR DUES BEFORE THE DAY OF THE TRIP!!

Safety Information: Hard Hat Required? YES __ NO _?__ Proper safety gear is required on ALL trips. (Glasses, sturdy footwear, Gloves) Hardhat SUGGESTED if planning to use EQUIPMENT (jackhammer/saws). Attendees will be required to sign Hold Harmless Agreement / Attendance Sheet prior to the trip.

Tools: WATER, rock hammer, chisels, sledges, pry bars, shovel, buckets, newspaper, FOOD + DRINK, backpack, (if desired – Jackhammer / Saw)
