Membership up to 27 Tonight 14 Adult Members 2 Children Treasures Report have abut $1000 in account Dues $20 individual $30 for family Field Trips – Sayreville Clay Pits in July – will be going back to Oxford waiting for call back – Dave handed out the filed Trip tentative schedule Show Reports – KC Reviewed through – Lebanon, PA Board Update – Evaluating current offices – Position can be held for 2 year terms – if interested in becoming an officer bring it up need volunteers – Position open – Justin asking if someone else available succeed as 1st VP – responsibilities of 1st VP back up for President, assist with website – can also segregate out certain tasks if someone wants to volunteer – Meetings changed to Every 3rd Tuesday of the Month – **Need to determine Holiday Party – Determined Tues or Friday best days Board Decisions – Mike – – Facebook – Search Friends of Mineralogy – Website – fomnj.wordpress.com – Flickr (All our photos) – fomnj.flickr.com Opportunity Recruiting – January 2018 – have a table at Rutgers open house to recruit new members – David suggested about making 11×17 signs has connection $.65 each one – Cardstock cards for “business cards” for advertising printed out postcard size .. Dave S will hand out at Franklin show – Dave requested to help out with design – John B suggested info on back to put out scheduled for year and speaker – Program: Groundhog Dave presents Groundhog Dave’s Field Trip – Collected Specimens Part 2 – Focus on Fluorescents . Continuation of June Meeting Presentation with focus on fluorescence of minerals collected in common and uncommon field trip locations. NOT just Franklin.
