We had a fun and engaging meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. We caught up on some business and discussed recent happenings in and outside of our club, with shows, trips and other functions. KC and Bob Batic discussed some of the more classic shows like Gilsum and Franklin, and their experiences as customers and vendors at those shows. We also recapped the more mainstream recent shows like the NoJMS / Sterling Swap and Midland Park. Several members brought specimens to show off, from recent collecting trips such as National Limestone Quarries. Several new trips were announced, and details were given out that night. The pizza was as much of a hit as it has been since we started ordering regularly back in February. We did have three folks visit our May meeting to get a feel for the Club: Randy Herbert, Natasha Brooks and Norman (last name unknown) enjoyed the discussion and activities of the evening. We also viewed the DVD “Best of Munich 2018”, which provided plenty of mouth-watering and jaw-dropping mineral specimens from around the world. All around, it was a solid meeting with a bevy of new, fresh faces. We had a fun and engaging meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
