July Meeting / Catered Dinner / Derek Yoost Presentation “Ammonite Occurrences in the Himalayas” Attendees: 16 incl Ken and Cindy The Friends of Mineralogy NJ Chapter had an outstanding dinner meeting and presentation by Derek Yoost. Turnout was awesome as was the catered food, which included a well-topped Chef Salad, Penne Vodka, Chicken Cacciatore, Salmon Oreganato, Meatballs Marinara, bread and homemade desserts from Lynn Sian Wright. Derek’s presentation on Ammonite occurrences and deposition in the Himalayas was top notch, combining a wealth of information with exceptional visual material. His PowerPoint presentation was dynamic and engaging, a 10 out of 10 overall. He also brought some nice Ammonites, shark teeth and other assorted fossils for purchase.
