Our January meeting had better turnout than in previous years, with 7 members attending and non-members Rob Rybnicky and prospective new member Frank. Our show-n-tell program was pretty cool. Rob Rybnicky brought a nice yellow Fluorite from Morocco that he got at Tucson 2013. He talked a lot about Tucson Show and KC spoke a good deal too. It was very good conversation. Mikey brought a coffee jar of nice self- collected NY Garnet chunks, and Julia brought a small box of Big Brook / Ramanessin “What’s that?”s, as well as beach-collected shark teeth. KC supplied 6 specimens for Mineral Mayhem from which we pocketed $20. Lastly, I mentioned that Bobby Batic joined our club in late December. I was about to pop in a DVD but people were more or less ready to go so we scrapped that. We left around 8:30pm. KC gave us a load of show DVDs that we gave out for people to watch. Our January meeting had better turnout than in previous years, with 7 members attending and non-members Rob Rybnicky and prospective new member Frank.
