Collecting the Franklin/Sterling Hill Mining District

Dr. Kuitems will share his personal experiences and perspective on why he found this NorthWestern NJ area so fascinating. How he learned the minerals and also dispelling a common perception that you can’t find colorful specimens here. 

I would be happy to see one specimen that you might want to bring.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a Fr / Og / SH (Franklin / Ogdensburg / Sterling Hill) or similar specimen, purchased or found. 

He will also help with identifying your unkown specimens, as he is an absolute master at that.

 

Meeting Features:  

-  Updates on upcoming FIELD TRIPS, SHOWS, CLUB EVENTS, etc.

-  Refreshments (volunteers / cash contributors welcome and appreciated)

-  Mineral Mayhem Raffle 

-  Members are encouraged to each bring 1 special specimen (found or acquired) for social conversation and a brief Show n Tell
