Hey Friends, Hog here. Well we had another great meeting on April 16, 2019 with guest presenter Karenne Snow. Her lecture “A Variety of Rock and Mineral Oddities” definitely went over well and was very hands-on and engaging. From pseudo- and epimorphs to minerals with strange crystal habits to minerals that form in strange environments, Karenne brought a nice, sizable assortment of specimens for everyone to peruse. Among the notable pieces were NJ Traprock psuedomorphs, clay concretions from Vermont, iron sandstone cast after pipe in stream, classic limonite after pyrite pieces, and a variety of others. The fare was Pizza from Pizza & Pasta Factory, and several dessert items including cookies and member Julia Chien’s Easter-themed baked dessert.Hey Friends, Hog here.
